Description:

This course will focus on four project portfolio management models developed by energy companies from around the world. After a brief introduction to project portfolio management you will be presented with an overview of the energy industry including the current state of affairs, trends and forecasts. Next, we will examine the following cases:

  • Power Trader
  • European Electric Utility
  • Regional IT Department of a Global Oil and Gas Producer
  • Eastern European Electricity Company


We will describe company challenges, resulting strategies, scoring, portfolio balance and strategic alignment models. At the end of the workshop we will attempt to compare the PPM models created by the organizations in question and examine whether they align with the overall industry outlook.
